This week and Last weeks blog.

On Thursday we spent most of our day editing the photos we took the week before and finishing everything off for our folders. I chose about 10 photos that i wanted for my folder and edited them all. This was quite difficult at the time as the computers we're being problematic and slow and i had to transfer the pictures quite a lot. Also the Internet was down for most of the time so I couldn't do much research or blog until the end of the day.

Now this week we continued editing all our photos we needed and were using, I printed them all out and put them into my folder. Earlier we went out into town again to do some more Market Research so we could have more opinions from more people about our final designs so it would help us decide which one to use in the end. This was quite successful today as the weather wasn't very nice and we went into the Grafton and asked people [ There we're loads of people there] so this made it easier although we were ignored by quite a few of the people we still managed to come back with some good results.

Most of the people preferred our second design, Mostly because of the concept and the graphics of it. This was the "Hot Udder" flyer. I personally think this is also the best flyer as i like the concept of it and i think it has the best graphics and has the most information on it. We probably did work more on this one as it was our personal favourite one.
When we get back from our Easter holidays we have 2 more weeks here at parkside before we rotate back to Mr.Durran's group. In those 2 weeks we need to complete everything and tie up all loose ends and then we are going to have a presentation for Chris to show him all our work we've done and get feedback to see what he thinks. My Target is for when i get back is to complete all my work to my best ability and make my folder look much more presentable.

Thursday 18th of March

Last week we went to Shakin Moo's to take some photos of the shop and things inside it such as the milkshake costume, posters, the cups, ingredients etc. I thought this was quite useful as we all took our own individual photos to put into our folder and use for our final designs. I took a few of the photos which i have now photo shopped and printed out into my folder. After we finished at Shakin Moo's we returned to Parkside and began editing our photos on Photoshop. I thought this was quite good as we all managed to take our own photos and do our own individual work, also when we returned we did individual work when we we're Photoshopping the photos. After lunch we went out to do some Market Research and made a questionnaire for people in the Grafton and around town to fill out. This wasn't as successful as i hoped it would be as most people weren't really that interested and it was quite difficult to actually get people to answer the questionnaires, however we got 4 filled in and the people's opinions we're quite different from one another. Most people chose a different flyer as their first choice for different reasons like colour, font, and graphic designs. I think it was good that we went out and did this cause we got opinions of people other than our classmates. We lost track of time and I got separated from my group which wasn't very helpful to our tight time schedule. After we got back to school we did some blogging and organizing our folders. I thought last weeks CRaM lesson went pretty well and we managed to produce some good work along with some good pictures. We didn't really have many disagreements in our group and got along quite well with each other. I think this is good because it made our day easier and gave us more time to do work rather than discussing our different opinions on things.

Thursday 4th of March.

In our CRaM lessons today our group completed the three final possibilities for our final design for Shakin' Moo's, we did one each. I did the 'Shake on Fire', I finished off the leaflet I made for it in the first place by adding more useful information and co-ordinated it all. James left after lunch so we couldn't do as much as we would've liked to afterwards.

After lunch i did some market research on milkshakes and found out some interesting and useful facts about them and their history, and also how they are made. They are made with either automatic milkshake machines or hand made. The automatic milkshake machines are stainless steel cylinders which have fast beaters inside, while hand made milkshakes can be made with any flavour ice cream and normally have additional flavourings.

When I completed my market research on milkshakes i began organizing my CRaM folder, I made its appearance better by adding a front page to it. I also printed out my research report to put into my folder. This took a while as my research report is located on my blog due to the YouTube videos, My videos didn't show up on my research report when i printed it out so i took stills from each advert and used them as images on my research report. I think this worked out very well as it made its appearance better in my folder and it shows the reader what the advert is like if they are reading it in my folder.

I think some useful work has been done today despite the fact half our class and our teacher left half way through the day. I managed to do market research on milkshake and find out some interesting facts and statistics about milkshakes in the UK and USA, organize and improve my folder.
